Memory Screen – S/T EP

OLD UGLY’s Thomas Michael (Jaded Hipster Choir, Ghibli) played in Calgary wednesday night and when I saw him yesterday evening he was spreading the love for Memory Screen, calgary’s sandblasted sunset staring ambientia. Memory Screen’s new EP, available on the very hip very young Washington state cassette label, Silent Farm Recordings, has some very lovely parts and some very creepy parts (ie God Face) but everything comes out sounding beautiful even if eerie. And to top it off, Azeda Booth’s Morgan Greenwood (previously argued just a few weeks ago) did a remix of a Memory Screen joint called Bbvroi. Very cool.
