100 Mile House – Hollow Ponds

The new record from 100 Mile House is ripe with expert craftsmanship. If you are looking for some boundary pushing material, this isn’t necessarily your pick. But Hollow Ponds is so richly adorned musically that they embody the adage “Do One Thing and Do It Well.” For 100 Mile House that one thing is beautiful full bodied composition of the folk persuasion. The musical delicacy of 100 Mile House’s new record is an achievement. And as a bit of trivia, Scott Zubot, who plays violin on a number of OLD UGLY projects, is a member of this glorious troop!
