Guelph’s M. Mucci makes some of the most glorious chamber-guitar music (if that’s even a thing) that I’ve ever heard. This is perfect reading music. Perfect sleeping music. “Certain Things About This Place” is a choice lullaby that simply must be heard. For all its minimalism, it forms a remarkably firm grip on your attention with its wavering magnetism. Oddly, this hypnotic lure is produced by the empty spaces—like terrific gaping black holes—that are as expertly calculated as the music itself. Enjoy with ease.
