James Irwin – Western Transport

The balladry of James Irwin’s all new Western Transport will make you swoon. Ambient textures generously applied in songs like ‘Needleye’ make perfect bedrock for Irwin’s delicate guitar plucking and his paintbrush of a voice. The banger the album opens with, ‘Bluedust’, has that hifi flanged & reverbed effect that makes his strings sound like a symphony of acoustic guitar impresarios.
